Nina grew concerned when her daughter, Ivy, started acting strangely. “Mom, just cut it out,” Ivy said, “I’m just going through an introvert phase.” Despite Ivy’s reassurances, Nina felt something was off. Ivy’s clothes were often dusty, and she seemed secretive about her whereabouts.
One afternoon, Nina decided to follow Ivy after school. She trailed her to an abandoned house and found her with a homeless man and his dog. “What are you doing here?” Nina exclaimed. Ivy explained, “This is Frank. He saved me from street hooligans. I’ve been bringing him food and clothes.”
Nina learned that Frank had been kicked out by his family years ago and was now alone. Touched by his story and Ivy’s kindness, Nina decided to help. She offered Frank a job at her bakery, and her husband, Tom, provided a trailer for Frank to live in.
Frank was grateful, and Ivy felt safe. The experience taught Nina the importance of compassion and helping others in need.
